Why Foundation stains are tricky

Cosmetic stains consist of pigment particles suspended in an oil or wax binder, sometimes with film-forming polymers from foundations and mascaras.

How to prevent Foundation stains

Foundation transfers most when the base hasn't fully set — allow 2–3 minutes of drying time before dressing. Powder foundations are easier to remove than liquid. Keep micellar water in your makeup kit for immediate blotting.
